Starlife expands human capabilities in the physical world.

We’re building robots around people, not against them.
AI is hitting knowledge work and physical labor at the same time. The dominant model extracts human skill and discards the worker. We’re doing the opposite: low-cost humanoids, piloted in real time by a global workforce that earns a wage today and a share of the physical intelligence tomorrow.
A team obsessed with building world-class robots.

What working at Starlife is like.
We want to stay small, with super high talent density. People at Starlife are obsessive. They love to work on a hard problem for a long time, and they have high integrity.
You are right for us if you have achieved results since early childhood, for example in sports, in youth science or entrepreneurship competitions, or by tinkering and making things. We look for the people who do most of the work in a group project and take the path less travelled by. This does not come from being contrarian for the sake of it. It comes from thinking independently from the crowd and having the courage to act.

We assume high intelligence and a startup mindset. Even so, Starlife is not a good fit if you can’t take on new problems end to end, beyond what you already know. It is also not a good fit if you prefer a guided work environment, or if you enjoy going out on weekends. We do not. We live and breathe Starlife.
Our entire team lives and works together in a hacker house in NYC. We wake up at 9am, get a coffee and start working right away. At 1pm we have a 10-minute stand-up, so that everyone works on the most important things and nobody is blocked. In the evening we try to fit in a short gym session, which is easy when the gym is in the same building. We often work until 2am, and sometimes until 5am if necessary. We work weekends at the same pace.
We do this because we believe we have a real shot at changing the world.
